Distract yourself with pleasurable activities
There are various ways we can distract ourselves when we feel overwhelmed by negative emotions, lonely, depressed and when we do not have much to do to keep ourselves busy. It is critical to have a structure in our days so that we have something to do on the regular and daily basis. It can have a positive impact on our mental and physical well-being.
One of the ways to distract ourselves is by engaging in pleasurable activities. You can make a list of your own activities that suits you but here are few prompts to get you going. Some of the pleasurable activities many people find useful are

Mindfulness has been a part of eastern culture including Buddhism, Hinduism and Islam for centuries. It is well documented in their traditional scriptures.
